The present study was carried out to examine the impact of integrated
nutrient management on vegetative parameters of broccoli (Brassica oleracea
L. var. italica) cv. Pusa KTS-1 during the year 2017-18 at Horticulture
Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Chaudhary Charan Singh University,
Meerut. Randomized block design (RBD) with three replications was used for the
experimental layout. The experiment was carried out by using twelve treatments
which consist of different combinations of organic and inorganic fertilizers.
All variable parameters regarding vegetative parameters of broccoli were
significantly influenced by integrated nutrient management practices. The
investigation indicated that a judicious combination of inorganic fertilizers
and organic manures i.e. 80% NPK + 2 t/ha vermicompost gave the significant
effect on vegetative growth attributing parameters viz., plant height (31.61
cm), number of leaves per plant (16.00), leaf length (48.00 cm), leaf width
(21.66 cm), stalk diameter (4.46 cm), fresh weight (337.87 g) and dry weight (106.76
g) as compared to other treatments.
