A study was carried out to find out the impact of
organic manures and bio-fertilizers on the performance of radish (Raphanus
sativus L.) cv. Arka Nishant at Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture,
Ch. Charan Singh University, Campus, Meerut (U.P) India, during the year
2018-19. Different organic manures with or without biofertilizers were involved
for the research study. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design.
The experimental findings indicated that the maximum plant height (36.26 cm), number
of leaves per plant (26.27), leaf width (10.93 cm), root length (25.06 cm),
root diameter (4.18 cm), yield per ha (313.90 q/ha) were recorded under the
combined application of organic manures and bio-fertilizers i.e. vermicompost @
6 t/ha + Azotobacter @ 5 kg/ha. Hence, this combination of vermicompost and Azotobacter may be suggested for radish (Raphanus sativus L.) cv. Arka Nishant in order to get higher growth and
yield under Western Utter Pradesh condition.
