Abstract

The agricultural policy process for rural development is determined by global issues such as liberalization, , democratization and privatization. In Chhattisgarh, paddy straw is available in abundance it being the major crop of the state. As paddy straw is used in mushroom cultivation, the small and marginal farmers can take up mushroom cultivation in addition to their other crops and earn extra money. The problem faced by mushroom producer is of its marketing as it is of highly perishable nature and has a very short shelf life. e-marketing is an effective method of trading and fetches higher profits it can be the solution to the common problem faced by mushroom cultivators. This paper compares the conventional marketing channel and the e-Marketing channel .
